Tip for compression/distortion problems

I kept having trouble with distortion when using compression. The individual tracks sounded fine, but played together, distortion city. I figured out that it was just too much audio and when I lowered the gain on the individual tracks, the distortion went away. If you are having problems, reduce the...

How to use 4Front plug-ins?

I downloaded 4Front Bass and Piano Modules.

They show up in the Generate menu, but clicking on them produces nothing but an empty audio track.

How does one program/control the plug-in? No interface seems to appear.

Dell Inspiron 1440, Dual processor, 4GB, oodles of RAM, Windows Vista.

Thanks!!

Re: Pops, clicks, dropouts

Thank you Wax, I will try 1.3.5. I did have AV shut off. I don't have internet at home (I live in Africa :) ) so that's not a prob. And I've tried to shut off all non-essential printer software, media player crap, all this stuff that thinks it has to have an active process running even if you only u...

Pops, clicks, dropouts

My Toshiba Satellite (P4, XP SP2 etc) served me faithfully for 2 years in the US using Music Creator. Just before moving to Africa I decided it would be a good idea to update to Music Creator 3 (which would add VST compatibility). Big mistake, nothing but problems. :? Recently I downloaded Audacity....
