Re: How to export 24 bit 48 kHz wav?
QuickTime for Windows is on my personal "banned" list - it's monstrously huge and tries to take over as the default player for everything  There's another Windows-only analysis tool SUPER by erightsoft. It's an annoying link jungle to download it, but worth the effort. It can not only give a ...

Re: How to export 24 bit 48 kHz wav?
Free download QuickTime for Windows can do that. Control-I Info Panel. That also gives you the ability to play any file type in the QuickTime library. I believe it also gives you full-frame video playback which I haven't be enable to do under Windows alone. There's another Windows-only analysis too...

Re: How to export 24 bit 48 kHz wav?
Thank you WC. I suppose the sampling rate stays as original (48 kHz in my case) - for some reason in the Win 7 there aren´t any place you could check this, opposite the XP. Even the bit debth in the Win 7 is in the strange kbps-form. BTW - do you happen to know any freeware audio file analyzer (whic...

How to export 24 bit 48 kHz wav?
Hi, Although my orginal, edited file is 24 bit/48 kHz, the Audacity export menu won´t give this wav format as an option, just the 16 bit, if I use this or the "other uncompressed file", the Audacity will lower the quality of my exported file. I can´t find this in the preferencies eihter. How come? I...

Re: Recording levels in Win 7
As said, the reason I use (have used...) Audacity is converting old vinyl to digital via USB (my ASIO interface don´t have such a connection + the Audacity speed converter e.g. 33 rpm -> 78 rpm is nice), ohterwise could use the Live. However, if some Win 7 64 bit laptop user has found the solution h...

Re: Recording levels in Win 7
Well, Nothing else in my system has changed expect the OS (XP Pro 32 bit -> Win 7 64 bit). All the hardware are new (less than 2 years), high quality (and not broken as someone suggested). Because all my othe audio gear, including the Roland Cakewalk UA-25 EX audio interface with the USB and Live 8 ...

Re: Recording levels in Win 7
It just seems that the Audacity is not feasible with the Win 7 (64 bit) laptop use, unfortunately. I wish
that the developer solves this problem ASAP. H.

Re: Recording levels in Win 7
Hi, yes, everything is set as you suggested, I´ve also tried every possible other setting-combinations, I think. Although the Win 7 setting adjustement down was "normal", I don´t think that been forced to set recording level in all devices to 0,1-1 out of 10 and stil get distorted recording signal, ...

Re: Recording levels in Win 7
Hi, I haven´t found any other place in the Win 7 where to adjust the input recording volume than what I´ve tried, neither I´ve found any additional information about this in the Microsoft pages: it shows just this "recording devices/levels and mixer" (right click the speaker icon). The recording sou...

Recording levels in Win 7
Hi, I haven´t been on this Forum for a while, therefore this question might be clear for most of the users but I didn´t find the answer at the first glance. I just changed my OS from the Win XP to the Win 7 64 bit. The same Audacity version (1.3.x) which was OK with the XP overloads when now recordi...
