Re: Recommend a mixer with multi-track OUTPUT ?

I have an M-Audio Delta 1010LT PCI card. It's not a mixer, so it doesn't have individual mic-pres or Phantom Power or EQs for each channel. That said, I can record up to 8 separate analog mono tracks at once without any difficulties. So, if you already have a mixer with analog outputs, this is proba...

Re: Digitech GNX4 - Help!!!

Apparently you can just download the software from DigiTech, but I'm not registering to find out: http://www.digitech.com/Download_Registration/Software_registration.php If that fails, you can always plug the Line Out of the GNX4 into your computer's Line In and record it as it's playing using Audac...

Re: Recording and Playbacks at different speeds

Did you record it to two different tracks? Meaning, did you stop recording when it got the end of side A and start over again?

Audacity is a multi-track audio editor, so everything that's lined up vertically will all play at the same time. If you want to listen to one track, try muting the others.

Re: playback issue

Audacity doesn't support .wma files. You'll have to find a different piece of software to convert them to a format that Audacity does understand (usually wav or mp3):

Re: Audio in slow motion

We can't get to the bottom of this problem until we find the common attribute.

Can you two (and anyone else with this problem) post some specs for us? Which version of Audacity? What kind of sound card? What drivers? Which version of Windows?

Re: Unable to set Input Selector to "line in" - it is disabl

There are instructions on that wiki page for XP too, they're below the Vista section. They're not separated by a line like they should be though, looks like the wiki needs editing (If I remember I'll do it later, but I'm crazy busy today).

Re: Calling Audacity plugin experts

1. I need spectral analysis down to the lowest practical frequency. It is crucial in polishing up tracks that one is aware of subsonics and the filtering thereof. Does anyone have a nice plugin spectrum analyzer that goes a couple octaves below Audacity's standard 40Hz one? Yes, it will take more t...

Re: Is it possible to multitrack with Audacity? ( Delay issu

The program certainly shouldn't come with it defaulted on Software Playthrough defaults to ON? Really? It's been so long since I installed Audacity that I don't remember. You're absolutely right about why you were experiencing latency, Audacity is not in a position to provide the user with a good m...

Re: Sound Forge keyboard shortcuts - Ctrl-Left, Ctrl-Right

I would go ahead and post a feature request, the developers will know more about the future features and I think they visit that forum a lot more often.
