Re: Exported MP3 weirdness

Articulate has an answer to this question in their knowledge base: http://www.articulate.com/blog/flash-supported-mp3-settings/ Is it possible that WinOnCd never made any mono files? Or that you're now exporting to a different bit rate than you used to? Also note that Articulate recommends using Wav...

Re: My program crashes as soon as I open it

oh... Does it give any error warnings? Have you recently installed any new software or hardware (particularly a new sound card or virus checker)? Are you running any new programs in the background? I doubt a virus or worm would cause Audacity to crash (without also causing other horrible things to h...

Re: ultrasonic translation

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the same principal as AM radio (it's been 7 years since that class). If I'm correct it would require these three things: 1) A file format with the ability to carry at least 50KHz (because they want the upper sideband and are using a 40KHz carrier). A 96KH...

Re: Where are my project files?

My three biggest problems with 1.3.3 are: 1) It responds poorly to unexpected window movements. For instance, when you're importing a file and the "importing..." dialog box is open, if you try to minimize the main Audacity window the "importing..." box gets stuck and you can't re...

Re: Export problem

Don't worry about it, just re-post a new question over there. Most of us don't like cross (or double) posting because people do it blindly in the hope that their question will be answered quicker, but if you make a genuine mistake I don't think anyone will beat you up for it. It's possible for moder...

Re: Something is wrong with WAV export

Why are you re-sampling each track individually? I'm aware that 1.3.x allows you to do this, but I can't see a good reason for it unless one of your tracks is playing at the wrong rate (which shouldn't happen, but sometimes does). Try this: Open your problem project (with the 96KHz, 24-bit tracks), ...

Re: My program crashes as soon as I open it

Well, it would have been nice to know a little about your computer.

As it stands, I'm going to guess you're a Vista user:

Re: Where are my project files?

The .aup file should be one folder up from the _data folder. In other words, the .aup file and the _data folder should both be in the same folder . Conversely, The .aup file should not be inside the _data folder . I hate typing that out, the semantics are so easily confused. If you're doing recordin...
