Re: GET RID OF NOISE IN TRACK

You just asked this question last week and I answered you. Was there something wrong with my answer?

Re: 2 glitches

That's odd about the scroll wheel killing Audacity, it doesn't do it to my XP machine. As for your real problem, you've got a sound card clocking issue, most likely. Are you using a motherboard sound card? Just to make sure though, the sample rate you're recording at is set in Audacity's main screen...

Re: low volume of recorded sound

You probably have the monitoring settings if your sound card driver software set at full volume, but your recording volume is probably turned way down (either in Audacity or your sound card driver software). Turn the recording volume all the way up and what you record should be the same volume as wh...

Re: Getting Audacity to work with Lexicon Omega

That thing has support for both WDM and ASIO modes. Audacity will not be able to access it if it's set to use ASIO drivers, this is Steinburg's fault (there are legal issues involved). In the driver software for your Omega you should be able to set it to WDM mode. That should work. If you really wan...

Re: Audacity Plugin Help

I can't find any useful info for this thing. Is there a better link than the one you've provided? I just downloaded this thing and it looks like it needs to be compiled. I also don't think it's a plug-in for Audacity, I think it's a whole new version of Audacity with "extras" added on by w...

Re: Chaning sample rates mid-recording?

Macloo, you're a victim of a rather confusing aspect of Audacity. And of the LAME encoder. The Edit -> Preferences -> Quality tab has two settings, one for "Default Sample Rate" and one for "Default Sample Format" These two settings have no effect on the format of the file you're...

Re: 4 Channels from Turtle Beach soundcard

The problem is that the Turtle Beach drivers present the card as more than one "device" when they talk to Windows. Audacity does not currently support using multiple devices at once. The way the Turtle Beach drivers are written, I think you'll only be able to access either the regular Line...

Re: Cannot record on vista

blog,

It sounds like Vista doesn't even know you have a sound card at all. But it seems that you can still play sounds, right?

Most of the info we have about Vista can be found here:

Re: Where are my project files?

I wonder if you have auto-save turned on in 1.3.3. It's in the Edit -> Preferences -> Directories menu. I have no idea where this function saves the data for projects that haven't yet been saved manually. Could that be the source of confusion? Obviously the data was somewhere since you got it back, ...
