Re: records from optical-in too fast

You digital audio player is probably trying to use the 48KHz sample rate, not the 44.1KHz rate.

Try setting Audacity to 48KHz in the lower left hand corner of the main screen. Does that help when using the digital input?

Re: Recovering lost audio files

nerraux That file just ends dead cold, your computer must have crashed pretty hard. This is the end of the file: <waveblock start="4346878" > <simpleblockfile filename='b00069.au' len='262144' min='-1.000000' max='1.000000' rms='0.219509'/> </waveblock> <waveblock start="4609022"...

Re: TV is ruining my life/recording.

That's what you get for not testing and/or monitoring your recording setup first. ;)

I hope EQing helps. If it doesn't you're out of luck.

Re: transfering from vinyl to CD

Len, The problem here is that you seem to be trying to write the Audacity project to CD instead of a WAV file. Re: Behringer Guitar Link UCG102 USB Interface

Do not use the ASIO drivers, Audacity can't be legally distributed with ASIO support so it won't work. You want the MME or DirectSound drivers.

Re: Changing voice to a different voice? help!

supermariostar,

Almost certainly not. At least, not in the way that you're likely thinking.

If you have access to the original multi-track recording from Weird Al and access to one of the beatles then it would be easy. But if you don't then it's not going to happen.

Re: Separate tracks in the mix?

steve, the reason I suggest fading in/out is for people who might want to rip that CD to mp3 when they get it. The mp3 encoder will be happier. horror, If you can place those wav files back to back in Audacity (import both of them and copy/paste the second one to the end of the first track) and it s...

Re: I'm stupid, please help =]

Is a guitar jack-lead with adapters on the end to make the end bits small ok? I'm not sure what this means, but I don't think it's going to work since guitar cables are generally mono. You need this: http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-3-5mm-Splitter/dp/B000V1O1KS/ref=pd_ts_MI_1?ie=UTF8&s=musical-inst...

Re: ReadMe File

If you just got 1.2.5, it's probably a good idea to upgrade right now to 1.2.6. There was a memory leak fixed in 1.2.6 (and a few other smaller fixes).
