Re: Feedback!!Help!!

"monitor the input" - use a set of headphones or speakers to listen to the microphone signal that the computer is receiving. You might also get feedback if you have "software playthrough" selected in Audacity's Edit -> Preferences -> Audio I/O tab selected and are using the "Stereo Mix" or "Wav Out"...

Re: using the start time feature

Is there any way to have it start the track at the start time? I'm a bit confused, didn't you already figure out how to get it record at the time you set? Also is there any documentation on 1.3? I'd like to know how to use things and what "Audio Postion" is....could that answer my first question? T...

Re: Embedding audacity

It's open source, so go ahead. You'll have to do a lot of coding, or convince someone to do a lot of coding for you though. You should also be aware of any legal ramifications of storing someone else's copyrighted material. The people who use your software to make a recording will own the copyright ...

Re: Bleeding of tracks

fisheromen, you have an input called "Stereo Mix" or "Wav Out" (or something similar) selected. This will record any sounds coming out of your speakers, regardless of any other inputs you have plugged in. Change the input source to something that you'd like to record.

You're right, it would be good to hear what you mean, then we can help better.

But your results will always be limited with a cheap microphone, so don't expect miracles.

Re: GVerb?

I think it's included in the LADSPA plugins pack that you can download here:
http://audacityteam.org/download/windows

You'll have to install it twice if you have two versions of Audacity installed. Make sure you redirect the installer to the Audacity 1.3.3 folder.

Re: 1.3.3 won't record anything

You shouldn't double post. But you also mentioned something in this post that you didn't in the other. You need to set Windows up properly so Audacity can access your soundcard. Double click the volume icon in the taskbar (if it's not there you'll have to go through the control panel to get to it). ...

Re: 1.2.6 won't record anything

Microsoft changed the way sound device drivers are handled. You'll have to select the inputs and outputs in the Edit -> Preferences -> Audio I/O menu until a new version is developed to work around the issue.

This is common with the newest releases of Windows.

Re: I think it's a bug.

Works just fine for me. Is it possible that you machine isn't powerful enough to redraw the screen so often? You can turn autoscroll off in the Edit -> Preferences -> Interface tab menu. Try turn that off and see if it works zoomed in. The display won't be all that useful, but it will be good to kno...
