Only Audacity 1.3.3 can do this.
In 1.3.3 you just need to highlight each track you want to move and then use the Time Shift tool normally.

Re: beat matching question
That would be called Accelerando or Ritardando in musical terms. Unfortunately there is no way to do that in Audacity at the moment.trev wrote:Do you know if there is a way to gradually change the tempo over a certain period length, not just abruptly when using the "change tempo" control?

I would rather it stay here as a document to your pettiness and your hostility to those who can't read your mind. People should have a fair warning before entering into a dialog with you.Innomen wrote:Someone please delete [this thread].

Re: Need to know how to do an intercomm effect.
It would have helped if you could describe in more detail what you want it to sound like, but I'll take a few guesses. A spaceship intercom, eh? The sounds that come to mind are, smooth voice, wide stereo reverb, and high quality. The smooth voice and high quality will need to come from your voice a...

Re: logitech usb mic clipping
I did use the Samson C01U for about 2 hours once. I bought it because I didn't want to deal with buying a mic pre-amp but still wanted a condensor. But I returned it the same day. I found two major problems with it: 1) As of now, you will be limited to using one USB mic (and no other sources) at a t...

Yes, but Audacity is somewhat buggy in this regard. I'll recommend a better solution at the bottom. The method is as follows: 1) Import your wav file. 2) In the bottom left corner of Audacity's main screen, change the project sample rate to the target rate (as long as you imported into an empty proj...

Yes, it's called the envelope tool. Here's a nice page with a good example of how to use the Envelope Tool (about 1/4th of the way down): https://wiki.brown.edu/confluence/display/CISDOC/Audacity+Tutorial Also note that you can grab any of the 4 control points that are created when you mark a "...

Do they run the same version of Windows Media Player and use all the same codecs (not sure how much the codecs would affect this)?

Re: Request: Skin
+10 points for the logo, I like it a lot. I tried the "shiny buttons" theme. I'm not sure how much you're limited to changing at the moment, so my criticism might not be worth much. There's a little blurb in the Themes menu in Audacity saying most of the icons won't be changed when using t...

Re: Can't play MP3 in all versions Of Windows Media Player
You can add an empty stereo track to the Audacity project when you do the exporting step, this will not change the audio, but will force Audacity to write to a stereo output file. This unfortunately makes the files twice as big, but there's no way around that (unless Joint Stereo makes a difference,...
