Re: Is Audacity compatible with Audio Technica USB turntable
I don't see why it wouldn't (the link is now invalid). As far as I know all the USB turntables use the standard USB audio interface and so are available to any recording application you can run on your Mac.

Re: What are the batch-processing function parameters ?
In general the answer is "No". Batch processing is by no means complete, and quite a lot of things just don't work. Any effect that has to be applied to part of the audio in a project (like fade in, fade out, and cutting a section) doesn't work. And quite a lot of the scripting doesn't work in any l...

Or to avoid the need to do the rendering:
* create a duplicate track and set the track modes as stevethefiddle describes
* Click on the upper track's drop-down menu and select "Make Stereo Track"

Re: ITUNES software won't work...really bad problems ??
itunes from Apple is nothing to do with either the ION USB turntable or audacity, so you will have to contact Apple support for help with the problem (or try searching on the web)

Re: Sound Card for Linux
The origin of the poor quality second track is a bug in the ASLA-OSS emulation layer. If you use audacity 1.3.4 and select ALSA audio devices for recording and playback you will not have this problem.

This post doesn't belong here. Please put one somewhere it does belong, based on your operating system and audacity version. Please include in that post what you are recording from, and what error you get when it doesn't work.
