I suspect it might be the exact mix of windows I have, or a registry entry. After the crash, I installed the disk when it came, and installed win2K on it from the issue disks. I got round to trying 1.3 Beta today.
Same result. Instant reboot!
And it used to work fine. Sigh!

I recently suffered a disk crash - total loss. So I have downloaded Audacity 1.2.6 and installed it. (Not sure it if the version I used to use).
