Re: Blue Screen! Help!
This was aways known as the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) - it used to happen quite a lot with Windows users (annoyingly) - but in later versions of Windows it now seems to happen much less often - though obviously some things can still trigger it. Some wags even used to create a screen saver to look ...

Koz added the following comments in a different thread where I had posted similar thoughts Re: Please, please help!! by kozikowski on Sun Nov 25, 2007 3:07 am <<<I think there should be a formal section of the forum devoted to bug reports >>> I'm 100% sure you can't do that. Bug reporting - can we add sections to the forum for this
I don't believe that there is a proper formal channel to report bugs - there have been a couple of postings about this recently. The Audacity websiste implies that you just send emails re bugs to the Audacity Helplist email a/c - see http://audacityteam.org/contact/ . I don't think this is really a ...

Bug reports
Koz, no I don't believe that there is a proper formal channel to report bugs. The Audacity websiste implies that you just send eaails re bugs to the Audacity Helplist email a/c - see http://audacityteam.org/contact/ . I don't think this is really a good way to handle bug reports - I think there shou...

Re: incompatibilities between 1.2.6 & 1.3 & implications
Yes this is true - 1.2.x files can (normally) be opened in 1.3.x - but once a file has been opened or created in 1.3.x it can never again be opened in 1.2.x (in the IT trade this is known as having forwards compatibility, but lacking backwards compatibilty - it normall occurs because the programmers...

Re: Crash recovery
1. IIRC Koz said that the first two are the graphics files and the lat one is the damaged one - so certainly I would give it a try deleting the last .ua file ( you may need to edit the .aup file too -as its that which tells Audacity how to thread the .au files together - but I have no experience of ...

Re: Nebie Having Trouble
Jack, to get back to the beginning of the first track after recording, just use the double-back arrow icon (similar to th icon on a tape/CD player's fast rewind).

Re: Static on PLayback #02
Koz, his original question was: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1700 ======================================================================================== Paul, if that little red light wasn't flashing every six seconds or so then you wouldnt be recording! As I explained in my ...

Unless you're using Leopard, or want Audacity 1.3.4 ........kozikowski wrote: Of course, if you wanted trouble-free, straightforward operation, you should be on a Mac, but that's just me.
