Do you have a hif-fi or a compact audio system with a line-in or Aux input.? If so then you can plug the two RCA connectors into that and test whether the Numark is delivering two or only one channel (the Numark does hase these just like its cousin the ION, right?). did you take the associated data folder (for the .aup) and all the little .au files that it contains, over to the other computer - if not it won't work. The .aup file contains no audio itself (that's all in the little .au files) - the .aup is just a set of instructions and pointers to tell Audacity ...

Audacity OOTB is set up to default mono - you need to go to Edit/Preferences and select the Audio I/O tab - and set the "Channels" to "2 (Stereo)"

Or you could try feeding the signal though a pre-amp before sending it to your computer.

There is a great new effect in1.3.x called Repair - this enables you to select up to 128 sound samples, then Click Effect/Repair and Audacity will do the redrawing for you by interpolating from the neighbouring waveforms. Have you tried selecting the unwanted section and hitting the Delete key (or use Edit/Delete) - you only need to cut if you also want to paste.

Or you can play the file in whatever software you have that will play it - and record it into Audacity. This will take longer, but should work.
