Re: TRACKS RECORD OVER EACH OTHER
Press Pause rather than Stop at the end of the first track - then pause to start again.
Or do what you are already doing and move the tracks with the time shift tool so that they follow one another.

Re: Start Again...
All you need to do is to place a label at each track break - use the Ctrl-B shortcut - and don't forget to place a label right at the beginning for the first track. Then use Audacity's Export Multiple command (available from the File drop-down) to export a multiple set of WAVs, MP3s or whatever. The...

Re: File Types
Because previously you used CD burning software to burn a Music CD - whereupon the WAVs were converted to CDA format. Load a commercial CD into you drive and lookk at the file structure - not a lot of files, just pointers to where the music is. Latterly you created a Data CD which had WAV files on i...

Re: Dropdown category list.
I don't believe that you can edit the list - or provide user generated genres (but you can of cause edit the ID3 tag later, after export).
Workaround to manage picking from the list: type in the first letter of the genre you want and it will go to that point in the list.

Re: Quick Mix includes muted tracks
I think this is indeed a "feature" of 1.2
IIRC the developers may have fixed this in the latest Beta release 1.3.4 (so it should be fixed in the next stable release 1.4 due out later this year.
