Re: tracking out mixes
Glad that worked for you.
AFAIK there isn't an automatic way of generating regular timed labels in Audacity.
You can make it easier by zooming out so more project time fits in the Audacity window. And if you use v1.3 you can type cursor times into the time/sample display box.

Re: transfering aup,s to itunes

And you may even find that for some of them the track information is already stored in the online database th...

Re: Mp3 - larger after editing.
It's possible that you exported the reduced length MP3 at a higher bitrate than the original MP3 - check both rates. Audacity default is set to 128.

Re: USB device records in stable version but not beta
I have no idea what the underlying problem is, sorry, but a good workaround would be to record in 1.2.6 and then edit in 1.3.

Re: Menu items unreadable
I suspect that all you need to do is rest the Audacity language option to "English". To change the language use: Edit>Preferences - Edit is the second command in from top left, then Preferences is the bottom selection in the drop-down list. Then you need the Interface tab, which is the thi...

Re: Inserting Marks During Recording
sjf,
try CTRL + M - this will put down markers while you are recording. And you can use the Tab key after recording to tab between the markers.

Re: Adding vinyl crackles 'n pops
Another way would be to find an older LP with lots of crackles and pops. Retain this original recording - on a copy of the recording do your crackle/pop removal by any preferred method. Now subtract the cleaned up recording from the original - and you shold be left with a "hoise" track. Yo...
