Re: Disc won't play on CD player
1) WMP will do it - but it doesn't do a good job of it and is not really a recommended route - Nero is reckoned to be much better, ad I think you can get it free on t'interweb. I use Sonic's RecordNow which came pre-installed on my latest Dell PC. 2) Audacity doesn't burn anything - it records edits...

Re: encrypted songs
I suspect that you mean you can't open AACs from iTunes in Audacity. AC is Apple's proprietary format and cannot be opened by Audacity. You basically have two options: 1) find a converter program which will take you AAC=>WAV/AIFF or AAC=>MP3 - there are almost certainly some free ones out there on t...

You can also edit the tag with Windows Explorer - just right click on the file and go to Properties. You can even fix a whole bunch in one go say if you need to change common data like the artist or album title - just select them all and then right click & Properties.

Re: Can You Record In The Same Track Twice?
No you can't record in the same track twice - but you can use Aduacity to do whau want because it is a multi-track recording system, it's what it does ... Record you first track. Then record your second track. When you play them Audacity will mix the tracks on the fly. When you are happy with the re...

Re: sound editing help
I guess it could be the tape not being in constant pressure with the tape head maybe??? Martin, this could be the cause - or it is possible that the heads are out of alignment. Also, is this the same cassett recorder that was used to record the tape in the first place? It's also worth cleaning the ...

Easiest way is to exit Audacity after the first export and then restart it. As a matter of course I always exit Audacity between individual projects - unlike iTunes it's very quick to fire up.

Re: Not all tracks on a recording export as wav files
You need to make sure that the first label starts right at the beginning of the recording - click on the "Skip to Start" (the icon that looks like a fast rewind button on your cassette/VHS/DVD player) - then use Ctrl+B to insert the first label there.

Re: how to transfer video audio to audacity
Your VCR/PVR/DVD recorder - most of these have a pair of RCA outputs on the back (For connection to an amp or home cinema etc.) Connect these RCA outputs to your soundcourd. If you are using an on-board souncdard you will likely need stereo RCA to 3.5mm TRS mini-jack. If you have an external soundca...

Re: Keeping tracks in sync after deletion
You will need all tracks to start from Time=0 - my guess is that your tracks 2 and 3 just start when they start? If that is the case you can fix this bit by selecting track 2 only and doing a "Quickmix" on it - this will insert silence before your track so that it starts from zero. Similar...
