This is a known Audacity bug

A lock file is wrongly left behind in

~/Library/Application Support/audacity/SessionData

Clear that folder and then start Audacity.


This bug is fixed for the soon to be upcoming 2.4.0 early next month

I have two tracks of audio and two tracks of labels in one project. I want to export the labels and import them to another audio file. The problem is that when I import them, both label tracks are copied into one. They do not come back in as two tracks as what I exported. A workaround ... 1) (tempo...

It sound to me as though you have the first half selected. a) with a selection present when you press Play Audacity plays only the selection and stops b) with a selection present when you press Shift+Play Audacity plays only the selection and loops Both are intended designed behaviors for Audacity. WC

It's grayed out because it's not available in 2.3.3

1) Import of EQ curves will be available im 2.4.0

2) the files will need to be in TXT format

3) 2.4.0 will have a tool for XML curves to TXT curves conversion

4) currently 2.4.0 is scheduled for 7th May

This started about 3 weeks ago. Was there an update sometime back then?

My testing shows that this is a regression on Audacity 2.2.2 - it got broken during 2.3.0 development, a lot longer ago than three weeks

Testing shows that this is a minor bug that somehow got introduced in version 2.3.0 - it is a regression on 2.2.2 where it works as Emerogork expects. I will try to find some time to log this - but it's unlikely to be fixed for the impending next release, version 2.4.0 OK this is now logged as P2 B...

This sounds like the same issue as:

If so I am still planning to log a bug for this.

The UCA-202 also has a digital optical connection. I don't know anybody who ever used that.

I have one on my comparable Edirol UA-1EX (now discontinued) I used the optical connection with my MiniDisc deck when I converted my MiniDiscs.

OK, but can I use instead classical filters too, or not? If it is accessible, then yes you could use Classic Filter (I've not used it in a long time, and I don't know how accessible it is) Yes it's still shipped as part of Audacity but it is not enabled by default - you can use the Plug-in Manager ...
