Re: Storing Album Art
AFAIK there is no capability to store album art in WAV or MP3 files - I apply album art once the items are in my iTunes library and the iTunes library rather than the MP3/AAC files is the repository for the album art files. These do trnsfer from iTunes to iPod - can't speak for other MP3 players. BT...

Re: Editing Tag info
Yes indeed the tag stays with the MP3 wherever it goes - I have two iTunes libraries on two different PCs and an iPod - and the tag data remains with any MP3s that I distribute across these platforms - plus my son gets occasional MP3 copies from me for his iTunes - and he gets the tags ok too. The t...

Re: Installing version 1.4 on Vista
1.4 is not available yet - and will not be so until later this year at the earliest. The latest Beta release is 1.3.5 -but this seems to be a fairly stable release. For advice on Vista try this page on the Audacity Wiki: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Windows_Vista_OS For making CDs - ...

Re: Vinyl to Apple Lossless
I don't think that you can export to Apple lossless - but what you can do is export a set of WAVS, burn a music CD (at 44.1kHz Stereo 16-bit PCM) - and then rip this CD into iTunes in the normal way with your import set to Apple lossless.

Re: Can't get 'stereo mix' with XP Pro
Well after an afternoon of playing around with my new laptop I can finally make it sit up and do Audacity tricks. But it's really given me the greatest sympathy for all the newbies that post - I thought I new and understood Audacity quite well, but I still managed to tie myself up in knots and fall ...

Re: "Livening up" Vinyl Recordings
Bailso, the M97 is generally reckconned to be a pretty good cartridge, not quite theit V15III - but pretty close according to many reports. A quick surf of tinterweb reveals several folks doing similar Vinyl conversions with an M97 and gettinf very pleasing results. Are you sure that the catridge is...

Re: playback speed
You are almost certainly trying to import a file type that Audacity does not support . Audacity Supports WAV, MP3, OGG and FLAC & MP2 in 1.3. If this is the case you have two basic options: 1. find and use some converter software to convert your file to a type that Audacity supports 2. play the ...

Re: Can't get 'stereo mix' with XP Pro
Funnily enough I'm just encountering similar things on my new Dell laptop Vostro-1710 with XP-Pro and onboard Realtek soundcard. With 1.2.6 I get two opions "Stereo Mix" and "Mic Volume" - the Mic Volume selected lets me record ok from the built-in microphone. I haven'yt gotten a...

Re: Help mixing a wedding playlist?
Ben, you should be able to do all that with iTunes: you can trim off the beginning and end of any song that you have in your iTunes library. Simply right-click on the song and select Get Info . You will see two boxes called Start Time and Stop Time - these default to the full length of the song. Tri...

Any comments on Roxio Creator CD burner s/w?
My new laptop arrived today - it came pre-installed with Roxio Creator DE Easy Creator 9 for burnibg CDs (and DVDs). My older desktop has RecordNow! for the same job. Any comments on the capabilities of the Roxio software? Any suggestions for settings that I might use? How does it compare to RecordN...
