Re: Scrubber in Audacity 1.2.6?

actually the scrubbing FR was moved from the Forum to the Audacity Wiki (which is where the developers look) - I have added abhi's vote in the Wiki.

It's already in the "most requested" section of the Wiki Feature Requests.

Re: Dell Sigmatel HD Audio 92xx drivers

violinrosie, yes there are many rumours on this board that Dell is disabling WhatUhear/ Stereo mix on their soundcard drivers. Curiously I just recently bought a new laptop from Dell - and I expected this to be the case - but not so it records straming from the internet ablsolutely fine for me right...

Re: no "normal" sound

No worries, glad to have helped - many of us fall into that bear-trap - I certainly did when I plugged in my first USB deck

Re: Ion turntable: Buh-BYE!

I'm running the turntable through my receiver first, which has a preamp, then using my Radio Shack cable to connect receiver to Mac. Hope this way that static goes away... RecordRecords Should be fine provided that you are plugging the deck into a set of inputs marked "Phono" on the recei...

Re: Sharing Audacity files online

When BT replaced my lines they found that some of their lines had water seepage in them - so they swapped mine for a good dry one (bet some other poor sucker will get the wet one, I certainly didn't see them take it permanently out of service ...)

Re: Time between songs

The reason why I am making a long string is so I can transfer the whole darn thing to a cassette without having to babysit for an hour adding one track at a time. Cosby, WOW, I thought the art of the mix-tape was a dying craft (The BBC certainly thinks so - they recently broadcast a nostalgia docum...

Re: no "normal" sound

My guess is that you have plugged in a USB turntable or a USB soundcard, right? If so then you will find that the USB device has taken over you audio output as well as the input ("they all do that sir ....") - and a TT will hav eno speakers. All you need to do is to retarget the output sou...

Re: Ion turntable: Buh-BYE!

I'm visiting my sister and I'm transferring her vinyl with a TC-750LC. So far so good. As with most people, the records you need transferred are the ones in worst shape. What fun. Koz Koz, so don't forget the magic ClickRepair software from Brian Davies that you ponted me in the direction of last y...

Re: Sharing Audacity files online

OK, I'm trying to upload to both of these and the upload speed is woeful. What's an acceptable upoad speed ? My max. download is 8Mb/sec, which I've actually come very close to on occasions. I measure my linespeed daily and record it on a spreadshhet and graph (I'm a techie nerd, I know :) ) - my I...

Re: Can I Back Up Files/Data to a DVD?

What I do (and I'm also working on turning LPs and singles into digibits) is : 1) record the album 2) save as a project (under album name) - and you can store the projects wherever you like, it doesnt all have to be in the Audacity directory. 3) do any required editng and cleanup (saving the project...
