Re: Not working

I would hesitate before leaping off the cliff .... Any USB TT that you buy will need software to drive it (there is one exception I know of and that is one of the ION model that enables you to record from the TT straight to an iPod placed in the TT's iPod dock) - and the most commonly shipped s/w wi...

Re: can't enter Russian text in labels

I suspect that it may just be down to the limitations of label handling in 1.2.x - 1.2 is very sensitive to special characters and indeed does not appear to like lower-case z in a label. Plus the error handling on labels it does not handle is poor (non-existant). As you observe label handling is muc...

Re: Help With Saving a Project

All you need to do is to place a label at each track break - use the Ctrl-B shortcut (not sure if that works on MACS - but I'm sure there is an equivalent) or you can use Tracks > Add label at selection - and don't forget to place a label right at the beginning for the first track. Re: Audio Technica AT-PL50 Turntable

I remember reading a similar posting a few weeks ago where the poster solved this problem in hardware by building themselves a simple gain/volume control with RCA in and out and a volume control knob that was placed in line between the deck and the PC - but despite some searching I can't find this p...

Re: Recreate Project from Autosave XML?

Never damage or overwrite anything until you deliver the final to the client. Then you go in and delete your brains out except for the final deliverable WAV which you keep around until you buy your next computer. Koz And you may also want to consider keeping a second WAV copy of the project - as it...

Re: Cassette duplication

No, for the car you're supposed to plug your iPod in which not only gives you instant access to every song you ever bought--in any order--but on-line versions of, at least in my case, all the radio shows I missed over the weekend because I was too busy. I do have an iPod and one of those FM transmi...

Re: Cassette duplication

You're making audio cassettes? Voluntarily? Koz You need to keep up with boards better Koz :) - Cosby has already explained in an earlier posting on a different thread that she is making "albums" of her own music (that she records with Audacity) for elderly relatives of hers who do not ha...
