Re: monitor delay
The delay occurs because your computer ha to procees the sound it is recording - normally the more pwerful the computer then the shorter the delay - but there will always be a delay using software playthrough (even if you were using the fastest supercomputer in the world). It's a bit like the tiny d...

Re: Can't advance curser in play mode
Does the cursor move (and wave forms get drawn) when you hit the red record button?
Are you trying to play a project you have recorded - or one you have imported a music file into, if so what format was the music file?

Re: Noise removal
Should indeed be similar: i.e. select a small piece of "noise" - use NR to sample the noise from that selection - select audio section for noise removal - use NR to process selected Audio section. I certainly works for me that way - I think theremay be more paramaeters you can set in 1.3 -...

You might want to try Brian Davies'excellent ClickRepair software - it costs abot US$40 - but you can get a free trial for 21 days. Re: NO PLAYBACK with i-tunes track
You are almost certainly trying to import a file type that Audacity does not support (from iTunes it is most likely to be AAC - and to have digital rights management (DRM) appplied to prevent copying). Audacity Supports WAV, MP3, OGG and FLAC & MP2 in 1.3. If this is the case you have two basic ...

Re: Can't get VST plug ins to work
.... isn't the selected track supposed to play while you make real time adjustments in the eq?(in both versions). yes but I think the developer's have temporarily removed it as there was a bug which crashed the project. Temporary workaround: apply the equalization - then use the Undo if it's not ri...

Re: HELP! No sound after saving projects -- flat liners!
What you should do once you have your show ready is to Export it to WAV/MP3/whatever. The .aup and .au files are the Audacity project - these can be rather brittle and hard to move - especially if you are incorporating external WAV files into the project.

Re: Joining multiple MP3 files to create one large file
So, in a nut shell here's the problem. I like to listen to audio books on my MP3 player, but they are ALL in really small files for each CD (1 CD contains approx 15 small mp3 files). So why aren't you just ripping the CDs straight to your MP3 player software? This would normally create an "alb...
