Do 33 1/3 LPs play fine? Do your 45s play ok if you plug the RCA leads from the ION into a Hi-Fi amp or boombox?
I have recorded 45s in the past on an ION iTTUSB and it worked fine.

Re: No sound
I noticed that where the instruction manual tells me to press Micophone and change it into Stereo Mix, there is no data/words whatsoever in this little box. This is expected behaviour - when you plug in a USB TT like this Audacity hands over complete control over the sound services to the USB devic...

Re: Periodic record glitches
Try stopping all un-necessary background tasks - including scheduled ones. And try either stopping your virus checker (disconnect from t'interweb and any LAN first though - or try just setting your virus checker to ignore all files with .aup and .au extensions - your virus checker may be causing int...

Re: Problem recording from USB Turntable
As Steve says - and you may also need to re-set your Windows sound output to target your PC's onboard soundcard too. When you plug in a USB device like this it normally takes over both the sound input and sound output (useful if you are using an external soundcard - but not so good when using a USB ...

Re: Reverse RIAA Equalization curve
AFAIK there isn't one in Audacity (I seem to remember a Feature request a while back asking for just this). Can you not set your pre-amp so that it doesn't apply the RIAA - or if you are using the amp/preamp from a hi/fi you could try connecting the TT through a Tape input or Aux input (only the inp...

Re: Audio Editing
One workaround would be to ascertain the exact length of the audio you are pating in and then generating the same length of silence in each of the subsequent tracks.

Re: Signal is cutted at -0,6 dB
I note from looking at the picture of the rear of the M-Audio device, that there appears to be a 3.5mm stereo line-out jack in addition yo the USB - have you tried using that linout to connect directly to the PC (i.e. not using the USB). This will of course bypass the onboard soundcard in the M-Aud...

[quote="ankle"]It looks like there's a bug in Audacity .... quote] Indeed there is - Gale Andrews (one of the developers) commented on this again yesterday and gave a couple of temporary workarounds in this thread: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6080&p=24120&...
