He means - post on the 1.2 section if you are running Audacity 1.2 and in the 1.3 section if you are running the Beta 1.3 - and within those sections there are subsections for the appropriate opereating system you are using. Re: Audio File plays too fast

<<<I don't have iTunes>>> That usually means you don't have a MAC .... iTunes runs quite happily an a PC too - and although not pre-installed as I believe it is on MACs it is simple to download totally free from Aplle's website - you don't need an iPod to get good use out of iTunes as a PC jukebox....

Re: Recording a mix and using mic at the same time.

Audacity normally only takes a single stero pair inpu - so you would need to feed both signals into a simple mixing board and then on to Audacity.

Or just record the music first, then record your spoken parts in a new tack and Audacity can mix these for you.

Re: Playing without recording

Yes - just click once in the Input Level Meter area (the red meters) - and this will turn on "monitoring". Clicking there again will turn monitoring off (if you are not recordig/playing. If you are recording/playing, clicking in the input level meter will reset the max levels of the meteri...

RGFM, when you come to cleaning up the clicks/pops that you will inevitably have on the vinyl, you might want to consider investing a little in this software: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1994 - it works only what can be descibved as "magic" on your old records. WC
