Re: How to delete unused files?
Yes but this is precisely because the developers have not implemented a Delete Project feature - as well as removing the actual files the programmers would also prune the recent files list with a Delete Project. So there is nothing you can do about this (try opening one of the projects in the recent...

Re: Sorted ID3 tags?
Hi Willaume, I read you post on the French section of the forum - but my French is not good enough for me to post a reply there :( But yes - you can edit the Genre list in whatever language you choose - the genres are just text tags - for example, I added a genre amongst my normal English genres cal...

Re: Recording from turntable to 1.3.5
And no shortage of people having trouble with Audacity on Vista - your workaround sounds like a good compromise. AFAIK the recording algorithms have not changed 1.2 to 1.3 so you won't get a better recording with 1.3 - but in moving to it for the subsequent editing you do, of course, get all the new...

Re: How to delete unused files?
I can find nothing that would even hint at the ability to delete items from the list. Yup, as I said earlier there is nothing in Audacity that enables you to delete the projects files (as an ex-software developer/system designer I regard this as a serious omission). So you have to turn to Windows E...

Re: How to jump to a particular time
I have a long (~90 minute) recording that I want to split into multiple smaller files. If I understand things correctly, I can do this by using "labels." And yes, this is what you need to do - see this page in the Wiki: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Splitting_recordings_int...

Re: How to jump to a particular time
In 1.3 the developers have added a new toolbar called the "Audacity Selection Toolbar". Amongst other things it shows the current cursor position (in a variety of selectable formats) - you can use this tool bar to set the cursor time you want and then press play.

Re: How to jump to a particular time
You can't do this in 1.2.x, but you can in the Beta 1.3.x
