Re: audacity 2.4.0.rc5 version, selection panel, huge numbers in right column (current position)

In general, some bugs. Two cursor bars instead of one, light and dark (see the figure), the window is minimized all the time, the Windows key causes some action. Remove it - and do not let it out sooner than in a year! It's because you are working at a hyper extreme zoomed-in level - the clip you s...

s it possible to add in dropdown menu:
mm:ss + milliseconds (without hh)
I always show tracks with length less, than 1 hour.
This would be a feature request and the developers are unlikely to want to do this as it would overflow at only 99mins 59 secs

Re: audacity 2.4.0.rc5 version, selection panel, huge numbers in right column (current position)

That's one of our key new features ;)

But you can make it smaller by clicking on the resizer (the vertical bar at the right of the Toolbar) and dragging leftwards.

Some folk will want to make it even bigger by dragging rightwards :geek:

Re: nothing recording using Catalina

If you can bear to wait just under a week the upcoming 2.4.0 release will fix this issue caused by Apple.

If not, in the meantime there is this workaround: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=107162

The release date is May 11? Thanks so much!
The release date is actually 12th May: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Next_Release

It slipped a further day as we found a serious Mac bug in RC04 which had to be fixed.

I tried to click the link but am not authorized. How do I get my hands on it? The release date is May 11? Thanks so much! Do you mean the Forum link - or the Fosshub link on the Forum page ? Release Candidate 05 is available for download from FossHub: https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-devel.html WC ...

Re: GUI language problem

Is this a regression? That is, is it different now to how it worked in 2.3.3 and earlier Audacity versions?

Re: An online manual issue...

Good catch antdude - and thanks for the report 8-)

I have fixed this in out alpha Manual - the correction will probably not be in time for the upcoming 2.4.0 release Manual - but will be in the release after that.

Re: Moving to new computer, Audacity doesn't record from on-line

As for Timer Recording, I have two of three working but not in the same way yet (-: One starts recording at the beginning of the file when using Timer Record, the other starts at the end which causes my file to be twice as large. Neither start at the cursor location and I understand that it may hav...
