Re: All Export files corrupt.
You haven't told us either whether or not the files you have previously exported still play correctly. Koz' advice about the audacity.cfg file is useful, but note that there is one cfg file per user if you use Audacity from different user accounts on the same PC. Also note that if you have previousl...

Re: 1.3.4 Stutterring sound
"I am recording from an ION USB turntable". (hopefully this statement is false). Steve, don't be too hard on the poor old ION - the electronics on the ION iTTUSB and the USB services were absolutly fine and produced good recordings - it was only let down by having a lightweight plastic pl...

Re: I think I blew it!
Steve,
do you then want to transfer this idea to the Adding Features to Audacity secion and see how many votes it garners - and I can then trnsfer it on to the Wiki in due course. I will vote for it - and I guess that Koz and the original poster seventh gear are likely to vote for it too.

Re: Error Message help needed
And today I just discovered the wisdom of my own advice of having dupilcate backup copies. My relativley new twin RAID 500gb discs failed overnight. Fortunately I have the data (all my WAV files and iTunes libraries) on other independent spindles - so today is being spent copying as much as possible...

Re: I think I blew it!
IIRC the developers were at one time considering revamping th export so that each track could be exported to a separate WAV file. I don't think it has made it to any of the Beta releases yet though.

Re: an option to lower pitch slowly
All you need is the Envelope tool - icon is two triangles pointing towards each other with a dot in-between amd a blue line through. You can then darg the blue line around with settable control points to vary the volume of the track. Note that the two tunes will need to be on separate tracks for thi...

Re: Inaccurate Length on a .mp3
WAV is also an iTunes compatible format BTW. If you are using an iPod connected to your iTunes library, then you may want to consider using iTunes to convert WAV/AIFF to Apples AAC compressed format. Bitrate for bitrate, AAC is generally reckoned to give slightly higher sound quality than MP3. MP3s ...

Now, where do I find the time to transfer everything?! You need to retire like I did last year. Before I retired I managed an average of 5-10 LPs per week, work rate went up a lot after retirement. My conversion project still took me over two years though - and there's still all my wife's records a...
