Re: Orphaned Blockfiles & Missing Audio Data Blockfiles
Yes, I can bring the wav file back in, but that is the stereo mix down, not the orginal multi-tracks. Ah, yes that's more difficult. You would have needed to export each track as a separate WAV - there is no automated way to do that in Audacity at present. The need for this has surfaced before - an...

Re: Audacity wouldn't record
hedera,
some AV software lets you tell it to trust/ignore certain filetypes (I don't know the ones you're usig - so check your manual).
If you can do this then set it to ignore all .aup and all .au files - then you should be able to keep the AV running while you work ok on Audacity.

Re: Orphaned Blockfiles & Missing Audio Data Blockfiles
At least I got my exported files, but I can't go back and make impovements. If you made your exports as WAV than you can go back to the WAV as exported by just re-importing into Audacity and thgen carry on editing. Actually you can re-import compressed file formats like MP3 - but I wouldn't recomme...

Re: moving files within project along timeline together
<<<You can set a "marker" using Ctrl+M (or whatever the Mac equivalent of that is).>>> "M?" I thought it was "B" on all platforms. Koz The B sets a label at the current selected cursor position - you would normally do this while recording/playing is stopped - but if yo...

Re: URGENT HELP NEEDED Crashed whilst recording
Difficult to do in 1.2.x (IIRC a couple of folks managed it once) - but usually in 1.2 it's too hard to do it, or you may not have all the components that you need. 1.3.x recovery is much improved - I had to use it myself last week after an Audacity crash - and ir recobered the whole 9 hours no trou...

Re: Backward Compatibility
As Steve says - but note too that once you have opened a 1.2 project in 1.3 and Saved it - then it becomes a 1.3 project and can no longer be opened in 1.3.
And as Koz says WAVs are good - transportable most places - and will certainly let you shuffle between 1.2 and 1.3 with ease/

Re: HOW DO I CHANGE THE BIT DEPTH?!
No problems - gald to have helped. It can often be difficult to find where some things are buried - it's easy when you know. I recently "lost" one of the effects when I changed from 1.3.5 to 1.3.6 when the developers changed the list structure ...

Re: Itunes Pitch Change on Intel MacBook
Also, I need to know how to load the finished file back into iTunes so I can then create a CD. Thanks, Redbeard Sorry can't answer the pitch question - but try this page in the Wiki for your secondd qn.: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Exporting_your_Audacity_Project_into_iTunes_and_iP...

Re: Export Multiple
I just tested 1.3.5 and 1.3.6 and both export multiple tracks just fine on hitting the Export button (exporting as 16-bit WAV) - you have created some labels, haven't you?

Re: HOW DO I CHANGE THE BIT DEPTH?!
Yes it will do the dithering - just select the export format as WAV (Microsoft 16 bit PCM). You do have control over the dithering shape if you need it (through your Audacity Preferences), but the default setting seems to work fine. I always record and edit in 32-bit float 44.1kHz and downsample on ...
