Re: Recording vinyls
I find the quality of my vinyls recorded to CD far exceeds the quality of bought CD's which have somewhere a compression of some form added to them. The fidelity and analogue sound as far as i'm concerned is a lot better. Yup, many of the re-released CDs are "re-mastered" - and IMHO many ...

Re: How do I get out of this state?
All you've done is to right-click in the vertical scaling bar to the ommediate left of the wav-forms in the track. To rectify just left-click in the same place.
It's supposed to do that - it's just changing the scaling for you.
Fooled me too the first time it happened to me

Re: Sound Card question
... When I experimented earlier I used the dubbing out and with adapters connected to the sound card. The usb connector mentioned has the rca plugs. Am I just going to need a splitter from the tape out? If you use either the Behrihnger or Edirol USB devices mentioned above the you should just be ab...

Re: Recording vinyls
I'm sure this method works, except, wouldn't it be just as easy to record the LP into the computer using a high quality line-in port? Basically yes, but if you read the original poster's messages, you will see that his comuter is not physically close to his record deck - and nor does he want to mak...

Re: Deleting large quantities of dead air
One way is to zoom out so you can seea lot more of the wavform - then it's easier to select the dead air with click and drag and then delete it (CTRL+K k/b shortcut).
You can use the fit project to screen zoom button - just be aware that for a largish project this may take a long time.

Re: Lp reset problem, anyone help?
Yup definitely sounds FUBAR and not fit for purpose. You could try opening it up and adjusting the return mech - but since this is obvviously a new unit that would probably invalidate your consumer rights - so as Koz says, dig out the receipt and send it back to get your money back. And when you rep...

There have already been several postings with difficulties with this particular TT - try the Search utility at the top right of the forum page and use "ITUT 201" as your search criterion.

Re: Recording vinyls
I have 10 reel to reel machines at home. Ah. so thats where the world's supply has all gone ... My R2R died many years ago - but I still hang on to my old faithful Nakamichi cassette deck, optimized for use with TDK-SA. It only gets occasional use these days but I am loath to let it go. In fact it ...

Re: Just upgraded: 1.2 -> 1.3 Beta... Nice!
I found the Audacity on line manual. It looks like it is for 1.2. Is there a 1.3 manual available? Yes you can see it here: http://audacityteam.org/manual/index.php?title=Main_Page Just be aware that it's a work in progress and is still incomplete - offers of help to finish it (writing/editing/proo...
