Re: ION turntable problem

No, my ION's electronics (when I still had it) were absolutely fine. I onl'y abandoned it as it gave too much wow&flutter -= probably due to the very lightweigt platter.

Check that the cartridge connectors and headshell - and the USB plug are all secure and not loose.

Re: Slow Forum

I concur with Koz - the forum has gotten very slow to load on the first connection. This has been happening consistently for around two weeks or so now.

Yes but it does an awful lot of work when it is recording, or applying effects, or just re-sizing the window ....

Glad you got it working again aean - and thanks for the insights you provided,

Re: Shifting Multiple Tracks Together

IIRC this functionality is only in 1.3 and was not available in 1.2.

In 1.3 the is a new Link Tracks tool (icon is a little chain) to assist with this process.

Re: Audacity Crashed - recovered manually

In 1.3 if it does crash the system will recover the files on the next start rather than having to use the recovery application? Yes, that'w what it does - it actually asks if you want to recover the project or just delete the temporary files (without recovering the project. So not only does it hand...

Re: Amplify or normalize

Great thought-piece here Steve - great to have this documented here. Are you planning to add this article to the Wiki and/or the 1.4 manual? Advantages of using the Amplify effect You can quickly and easily amplify one or more tracks by the same amount. For example if you want to reduce the level of...
