I use the Edirol UA-1EX to do a similar task, works a treat. As Steve says: more expensive that the Behringer - but has more features/functionality. You can view the specs of both devices on the companies' websites.

Yes, but operating system developers are not most people ;) - these restrictions were imposed long back in time in the mists of earlier O/S developments - and have just lingered on ever since.

Re: How to Export in 1.3.7 ?

1.3.7 appears to be out - it is listed as the latest vn on the Audacity site. HOWEVER when I click on the Windows 1.3.7 download, I get directed to the Sourceforge site where the featured available download is the AVS Audio Editor - this may explain one of the thread postings we received earlier on ...

Re: Can't get true stereo

Then it is most likely that the USB TT has an embedded pre-amp. In which case make sure that you have the setting correct - as many can have line level output or phono output (which will by-pass the pre-amp). HAve a good read of the manual.

Re: newbie effects for LP

I use Audacity for most of my LP transcription recording and repair - but for click removal I bought Brian Davies's excellent ClickRepair software - it works like magic and it saves me a lot of time (wll worth the money IMHO). Are you passing the signal through a preamp (so thTt you get the RIAA equalisation)? If you are lacking in bass this may well be the case.

From looking at the Moderator Control Panel it looks as though one of the things that a mod can change is the username. I do note from this guy's account details though that his registered email address is not the same as his username :?

Re: Advice: Recording Vinyl & Amp Setup

I'm puzzled as to why you are using an amp in addition to the Numark - my understabding is the the TT that you have contains ann inbuilt pre-amp and DAC (soundcard) and all that you should need to do is to connect to your computer via the USB plug? :? If the Numarks's are like the ION TTs (same comp...
