Re: Remove cell phone interferrence from recording
You could try Brian Davies' excellent ClickRepair software - it costs $40 - but you get a 21day free trial - See http://wwwmaths.anu.edu.au/~briand/sound/software_download/clickrepair_info.html But I suspect that ClicRepair may not work on this sort of "noise" - worth an experimental try t...

Re: Audio File Plays Back Super Fast
you are almost certainly trying to import a filetype that audacity does not support. Audacity works with WAV MP3 Ogg and FLAC - - if you have another filetype you will need to convert it first (or play it in an alternative player s/w while recording in Audacity).

So correct me, "Search For Author" only looks for the original poster, not anybody who posted after that? Koz I don't think so Koz. If, for example, I "Search For Author" on your username I also get threads that you have responded to and not originated - in addition, of course, ...

Re: problems for users Exporting MP3 Tracks Lame file

You can then get the students to export their projects as WAV files and then use the external encoder. A key advantage that you may gain is that external standalone MP3 encoders normally g...

Re: can't record
Have you tried wiggling the connectors. Is this a USB TT - if so try unplugging and replugging the USB, or try a different USB port.

Re: Start recording on firearm discharge.
Hi Lmasters, thanks for the feedback - and for the interesting linked article. When you say "it worked fine", but you could not get Sound Activation to work - I assume that you just let Audacity run and then fired the firearm - getting your calibration numbers from the Audacity waveforms? WC

Re: The Girls' Guide to USB Turntable-to-Computer Recording
Another regular poster on the board (Kozikowski) frequently recommends using playlists to keep things in the right order. What I do is to name the tracks from my LPs as 01 <track_name_1>, 02 <track_name_2> etc. I then export a set of multiple WAVs into a folder named for the specific LP/album. I the...
