Re: Exported recording won't play in iTunes or WMP
I would try setting Audacity to stereo (2-channel), Project Rate 44.1kHz and 16-bit (go to Edit>Preferences , the Quality and Audio I/O tabs for this)- and for export to WAV export as 16-bit PCM stereo (In 1.2.x go to Edit>Preferences , the File Formats tab for this - in 1.3 it is handled a little d...

I couldn't find any specs or manuals for your amp on t'interweb - did find a piccie tho - nice analog meters (makes me all nostagic ...). Are you absolutly sure there is mo control over the ouput level to tape out on your amp - my similar vintage Technics did have such a control. Otherwise, you may ...

Re: Muted tracks export empty!
It's supposed to do that - there was a bug in 1.2.x wherby the mute was not honoured on export - but the developers fixed that for 1.3
I works like that so folks who record multiple tracks can mute some of them prior to export - so that on export only the unmuted tracks are mixed and rendered.

Re: Recording LPs with Audacity Question
It shouldn't lose quality as they are both lossless formats.

Re: Cannot record to CD
@airhendrix no you should be able to re-import it and get Audacity to export it at 16-bit PCM Stereo. Audacity will apply dithering, but I doubt that you will be able to hear the difference (I know you have much younger ears than mine and so are in with a fighting chance - but I still doubt that you...

Re: Speed Dubbing Cassette to PC with Audacity?
Sure, if your cassette deck is capable of playing the tapes at faster speed than normal playback then you can record that speeded up signal into Audacity and then after capture use the Change Speed effect, Personally I wouldn't do it though as you will lose audio quality - just as audio quality was ...

And what is the make/model of the amp?
I assume that you are plugging the TT into a phono input on the amp, right? You will need this for the necessary RIAA equalisation to be applied.
