Re: Crossfade Automation
Now that the requesite month has expired I have moved the gist of this FR to the Wiki Pending Feature requests page for triage by the developers. I have left this thread in the forum, but moved it to Audio Processing as it contains some useful information. I have provided a link back to this thread ...

Re: avoiding distortion
We had one poster that produced enormous distortion until he removed the wad of dog hair from his stylus. Highly recommended. Koz And I would advise against using alcohol or alcohol-based solvents to clean the stylus - I did this on one of my (expensive) Shure cartridges and it dislved the glue cau...

Re: Auto record from the command line
I didn't know 1.3 had scheduling tools. Is there any documentation on this? Not much - see this section for the manual in development for 1.4/2.0 (whichever it is to be called): http://www.audacityteam.org/manual/index.php?title=Playing_and_Recording#Timer_Recording The quickest way to invoke the t...

Re: Making a Composite Track in Audacity 1.2
@djla - to combine two tracks into one you jist need to select them ( CTRL+A will select the whole project for you) and use Project>Quickmix - alternatively jjust export the project to WAV, MP3 or whatever and Audacity will do the Quickmix for you as it exports, but leaving your two separate tracks ...

Re: How do i get the recording to play in itunes
That means you have to do it all again if you want the compressed work for your iPod. You can't do both. Or you could: 1) Set iTunes to import WAV or AIFF as Koz says (use Edit>Preferences>General and click on the Import Settings button) 2) Burn the CD (giving you lossless quality) 3) Re-set iTunes...

Re: How do i alter the play speed on audacity?
You are almost certainly trying to import a file type that Audacity does not support. Audacity Supports WAV, MP3, OGG and FLAC & MP2 in 1.3. The screech is Audacity 1.2's inelegant way of telling you that it can't handle the file type you've given it - in 1.3.x a more appropriate and informative...

This sounds like it may be a bug - I will notify one of the developers.

Re: Bit Depth Conversion
Can you do it by exporting and downsampling on export to 16-bit WAV - and then import the 16-bit bit to replace the original 32-bit clip?
