Re: Saving WAV fiiles and getting them into Nero to burn to
No, you open up your Nero and either browse for the WAV file you want or drag it/them into the appropriate Nero Window. Ensure that you export your WAVs as 44.1kHz 16-bit PCM stereo (the Red Book standard for CDs) For mo info see: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Transferring_tapes_and_r...

Re: Save compressed copy...useless?
That said, I spend anywhere from 2 to 40 hours doing a podcast, and my AUPs end up being usually 20 or 30 tracks layered. The resulting MP3 is a wonderful, polished beast, however the archivist in me wonders "what if I want that audio without music in the background sometime in the future"...

Re: Selection Start anchor.
Create a label at the first selection point - and a similar label at the second selection point. Zoom out and select betwenn the two labels - you will need 1.3.x to do this accurately, as in 1.3 the label junctions become "sticky" - and then hit Delete or CTRL+K

Yes, but I believe that they are planning for at least two potential Release Candidates on the way - so expect to see 1.3.9 and 1.3.10 appearing ...kozikowski wrote:The developers are preparing 2.0.0.

Re: distorted & garbled after 50 minutes
F: drive sounds like an external disk to me. It is not normally recommended to do audio capture with Audacity to an external disk. An external disk is unlikely to be fast enough to keep up with the rigorous demands of digital audio capture. Instead I would do the capture and edit onto your internal ...

Re: Save compressed copy...useless?
I have just sent an email to one of the developers to ask them to have a look at this. It may be a bug or it may be a "feature" ... I'm slightly concerned that you have so many Audacity projects. The AUP/AU file structure is designed for fast processing by Audacity and is not really design...

Re: Pete Tong on Radio1-audio dropout
You can try using the effect Truncate Silence which accirding the the manual in development for the upcoming 2.0 based on 1.3 says "Removes audible periods of silence or near-silence from the audio selection." You may need to play with the parameter settings and I can't personally vouch fo...

Re: AnalogX Auto Tune
Since Autotune supports WAV files - quote from their website: "AutoTune now supports mono and stereo WAV files, 8/16/24/32 bit formats (both MS and IEEE), and can also normalize and DC correct samples!" - there should not be a problem in importing such WAV files into Audacity for further p...
