Re: Why can’t I hear what I’m recording?
3- HOWEVER!, I had a USB mic and playback DOESN'T work with USB microphone. When you plug in a USB device like this your computer hands over control of all sound services to the USB device - both input and output. Since you USB mic doesn't have a set of speakers, you then don't get any sound from t...

Re: recording halfway through a track
Ok done, I am indeed on the devel mailing list so posted there.
I was brave enough (foolish enough) jus to down load the alpha into a new folder and run it. Seemed to cause no preferences problems when I reverted to 1.3.9 for production use following this testing.

Re: Help - it won't let me edit!
You probably have " Paused" the recording/playback rather than " Stop "ping it. Whilst you can Select in Pause mode none of the effects will be activated. BTW I removed your duplicate post (please don't double-post in future, it only annoys the folk who give up their personal fre...

Re: Vertical dashed line
IIRC I think it's a bug which was long ago fixed in 1.3.x No further developments or bug-fixes will be made to 1.2 (which is now very old software). So to aviod getting this bug you can upgrade to 1.3.9 (ignore the "unstable" and "for experienced users only" - the latest betas ar...

Re: recording halfway through a track
OK Steve - so now you've set me off on the path of Alpha testing .... :ugeek: I just downloaded last night's 1.3.10 Unicode 7Oct09 - and it still does not stop at the end of the selection when in Record mode. Curiously the red recording cursor (red triangle and red line) does stop at the end of the...

Correct - that is basically what they are DAC/ADCs with inbuilt USB services.

Re: Sound only when recording
USB devices have a habit of hijacking the entire sound – output as well as input – and they don’t tend to have loudspeakers (hence “no sound”). What you need to do is to direct the sound output to your MAC's soundcard (I'm a Widows person so don't know how to do this in MACspeak) You may also need t...
