Re: Point Labels vs. Region Labels

I think this may be down to a problem that the developers are currently struggling with, with the Link Tracks functionality. The track linking is controlled by the icon with the little chain-links in the Edit toolbar. Turning it on is supposed to link all the tracks above the label with that track s...

Re: Audacity 1.2.5 Bugs

1.2.5 was long ago superseded by 1.2.6 - itself so ancient that Abe Lincoln was a user ! If you want to do bug tests - and the developers appreciate help in this area - then you need to use the latest Beta which is 1.3.9 very soon to be replaced by 1.3.10. We are approaching Release Candidate status...

Re: Audacity to save as several FLAC/MP3 files...

You will need to upgrade to the 1.3 version of Audacity - one of it's new features is the ability to add labels at regular intervals. Re: DOES PAYING VERSION GIVE BETTER QUALITY WHEN CHANGING PI

There is no paid-for version of Audacity - it is Open Source s/w that is availbel to all for free to download and use.

There are some unscrupulous folk out there in the Big-Bad-World who will try to charge you money for Audacity - IGNORE THEM !

Re: Recording Both sides of Audio Cassette

32-bit gives you more headroom for effects like amplification - so if you amplify a 32-bit signal you are likely to get less noise than amplifying an equivalent 16-bit signal. The projects are twice as large though! So if you are only doing capture - simple editing like inter-track gap silencing, fa...

Re: Exporting Tracks from Audacity to iTunes

This is my workflow to take Audacity Projects to AAC in iTunes 1. Record and edit the project in Audacity 2. Export as a set of WAV files (to facilitate correct ordering later I Label the tracks 01 <track_name_1>, 02 <track_name_2>, etc.) 3. Import the WAV files into iTunes 4. Use iTunes to make AA...

Re: Window 7

Audacity Saves in its own internal format

Use File > Export to create WAV/MP3/whatever to create usable music files
