You need Audacity 1.3 - one of the additional features is the ability to place labels at regular time intervals. You wil find it in 1.3 in the dropdown from Analyze.

Try zooming out (use the tol with the -magnifying glass - or zoom to fit the whole project in the window even (thou 4 hours may be a too much to squeeze in to work with usefully). My guess is that you imported some audio for these projects, WAV files probably. And you had your import settings set to "Faster" (which is the Audacity default). And in the meantime you have moved or deleted these original files. If this si the case then Audacity is relying on finding the...

Yup, the developers changed the interface in the 1.2 => 1.3 transistion.

There is a separate section of the forum for users of 1.3.x - as you have seen there is a difference between the towo variants.

To change the language use: Edit>Preferences - Edit is the second command in from top left, then Preferences is the bottom selection in the drop-down list. Then you need the Interface tab, which is the third one in from the right. Language is selected from the only drop-down list in the dialogue box...

This is a bug that was introduced in 1.3.10 - you should not be seeing it in 1.2.x

If you are using 1.3 eitther try 1.3.9 - or if you are feeling more adventurous the nightly builds of 1.3.11

IIRC it was required for one of the 1.3 releases for a while - but I thought that the developers had removed the need for taht in the latest releases.
