I cannot reproduce this in 2.3.3

Nor can I produce similar in 2.4.1 and the latest alpha test build I have for 2.4.2

We are not able anyway to fix bugs on old superseded versions - only bugs logged against the current relaease or alphas for the subsequent release can be dealt with, sorry.

I also did some regression testing and this bug appears to have been around a long time. It is certainly present in 2.1.0 - it's not in 2.0.0 but in that version there was no preference for "Retain labels ..." I'm amazed that no-one has discovered this before - good catch Mike 8-) Peter.

I suppose there is no way to reset preferences without losing everything? There will be in the soon to be upcoming 2.4.2 release where there will be a new item in the Tools menu for Reset Configuration Meanwhile go the the folder location suggested by Kozikowski -and just delete the audacity.cfg fi...

I cannot reproduce this - it works for me on W10 with 2..4.1 and the latest 2.4.2 alpha test build that I have.
