Yes this appears to be a bug - it certainly behave differently in 1.3.9 and earlier 1.3.x versions (I just ran some tests). It may be down to a feature which was introduced in the earlier 1.3 versions which enabled you to "link" a set of tracks, including a label track. But the developers ...

1.2.6 is now a very old release and I don't believe that it works well with Windows 7. I recall a number of postings on the forum recommending the latest Beta version 1.3.10 for use with Windows 7. you haven't, and can't, import the dvf file into Audacity - you need to convert iot to WAV and then import it into Audacity.

You should be able to find a free WAV to MP3 converter on t'interweb.
Even iTunes (which you can download for free) will do this job for you if you set it up right - but it's a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a walnut for the job you want.

The Edirol device you have is an external USB soundcard. When you plug it in it takes over the sound services from you PC's onboard soundcard. To use the Edirol to record streaming audio you will need to loop back the RCA ouputs of the device to its inputs - and make sure that both Windows and Audac...

You are trying to import a file type that Audacity does not support - you will need to convert it prior to importing. Audacity 1.2 supports WAV, AIFF, Ogg, MP3. You might try 1.3 Audacity tthe Beta which is now pretty stable and mature - but I don't know if your filetype can be imported in 1.3 - you...

I use one of those external soundcards (the Edirol) bought as I had a ppor souncard in my desktop. The Edirol has produced consistently excellent recordings.
