Re: no sound
Did you Export from Audacity tp make WAV files or MP3s - and did you try to play these? Or did you try to play the <project>.aup file that Audacity creates? If this is the case then be aware that a .aup file is not an audio file it is just a little part of Auacity's complex project file structure. WC

Re: Unresponsive Pause button
The stop button is functional, but resuming after stopping puts the next recording on a different track, not the same one. No, if you just press Record or R then it will record on a new track (which you can allways shift along to the requited position on the timeline with the Timeshift tool). Rathe...

Re: 1.3.10 default timer change to 1 hr is annoying
Sorry Roga - I have to confess it was me who suggested the new default to the developers ... There was a developer discussion about what the interface of the Timer Record feature and in particular the default length of recording. I tend to record a lot of hour long programmes off-air from the BBC he...

Re: Stereo Recording Woes
and we're unable to hear the right side. I am using Windows XP. USB TTs have a habit of hijacking the entire sound – output as well as input – and they don’t tend to have loudspeakers (hence “no sound”). What you need to do is to direct the Windows sound output to your PC's soundcard Control Panel>...

Re: Stereo Recording Woes
Dear Audacity IT/customer service staff :D BTW there is no Audacity Corporation and no Customer Service Dept. This is an Open Source project manned entirely by volunteers - the developers and the documenters are all volunteers as are the forum elves who answer the queries here on the forum. Welcome...

Re: Stereo Recording Woes
I assume that you are using 1.2.6 (the most likely vn. to be bundled with your ION TT) Go to Edit > Preferences and you will geta dialog box, select the Audio I/O tab - and in the Recording box set Channels to 2 (Stereo) with the drop-down selector. Audacity's default setting is to wake up for the f...

Re: Unresponsive Pause button
I presume you want to pause at the end of side 1 while you turn the record over, right? I can't comment on the Pause button on MAC as I am a Windows XP user - the Pause works ok there Workaround: since you are using 1.3.x Audacity you can Stop recording at the end of side 1 and the Resume Recording ...

Re: No Sound with ION USB TT
Another thought .... And if you don't use a special stylus designed for 78s then you are extremely likely to not only get very poor sound from the bottom of the groove - but you are also likely to damage the stylus that was designed for the smaller grooves pressed in vinyl 45s and 33s as it bumps an...
