I just tested on W10 with 2.4.1 and the latest alpha test build I have for 2.4.2 and I cannot reproduce this.

My meter ranges change immediately I hit the OK in Preferences.

Hmmm I see what you mean I created a stero 30 minut chirp for AC3 Export 1) 2.3.3 export takes 19 seconds 2) 2.4.1 export takes 96 seconnds The good new is that when I test this on the latest 2.4.2 alpha test build the export time goes back down to 19 seconds again I suspect this is another symptom ...

I run with two browsers open and active all the time on my W10 laptop: Firefox and Edge - and I get no such flashing.

A PDF Manual would be tricky to produce from the online/bundled manual - as that is heavily based on hypertext (lots of embedded links) - hard to reproduce on paper or PDF.
