Re: Disk space remaining

If all you do is record and edit a project and Expot a WAV (or Mp3) - and then just close Audacity - then Audacity will clean up and remove its temporary files on exit. However - if you Saved the Audacity project at ant time then the project files will be hanging around still and v=can be deleted if...

Re: How can I change the tempo/speed of the label track?

As a general rule, it is better to add labels at the end of editing, after you have finished moving things around - which is fine if you can, but that's not aways practical, so here's the workaround: As a genreral yes, I agree with you. But an example that crops up reasonably often on the forum is ...

Re: No Sound or Record after loading Audacity 1.2.6.

there is no gain control (volume control) on this turnable. Frank, that could be a potential problem as it removes your control over the signal level - however Wolfe's post (see link above) does offer some hope that all will be ok. But I do hope that you kept the receipt - and the store you bought ...

Re: poor quality play back on ipod touch for mp3

I would set your Project Rate to 44.1kHz (44100) and your bitrate to 16-bit. Ecport to 16-bit WAV and use iTubes to covert the WAV to AAC - and IO would recommend resetting your iTunes import bitrate to at least 192 (the default is 128). See my workflow for making AAC in iTunes from Audacity project...

Re: Help With Noise Removal In Classical Piano Piece

And, unfortunately, I can't record without the USB device = My laptop doesn't have a Line In port. So, I guess that question is still left unanswered, whether it's the piano or the iMic. In which case your a candidate for one of the USB soundcards that we know play nicely with Audacity - see this s...

Re: Save as

What is this all about? Isn't it the bug in 1.3.9 that is fixed in 1.3.10 where silent audio in the project causes the problem? Yes Gale, but the project I was trying to Save and Save As yesterday was a simple stereo pair recorded off-air from FM BBC R4 with no silent Audio in the project, just tri...
