Yes - you can use the Mute button in Track Control Panels to mute the tracks you don't want to hear.
Or you can use the Solo button in the Track Control Panel to select a single track to play

Re: ION Turntable & I am so stupid
Probably true, but the EZ Vinyl program works perfectly, but doesn't offer the editing options Audacity does. I am not concerned about my ability to operate Audacity. I just want to get it to get it up and running. What formats does EZ Vinyl produce - I can see from a search on t'interweb that it c...

In that sense, it's perfectly stable.

Yup - just like the broken (analog) watch that's precisely right twice every day ....

Just click through it.
Or you can turn the metadata editof off with a setting in Preferences (sorry I can't look exactly where right now as I'm currently capturing FM off-air).

Yes, but it's a very mature Beta now - approaching Release Candidate status.
For many modern platforms it's actually more stable than the officially "stable" 1.2.6

Re: Vinyl To WAV and MP3 Album & Tracks
I am converting some 450+ vinyl albums to WAV and MP3 formats. I have purchased a 360gb external hard drive and a MP3 to stereo components connector/player (so I can play the MP3's through my current stereo system). I would recommend buying a second external hard drive so that you can have backup c...

Re: Fade but not out
You need the envelope tool. The Envelope tool is the icon with two white triangles pointing to a little white dot with a blue line passing through. With this tool selected you can set the little white dots at various points and move them (and the associated blue lines up and down) - the blue lines c...

Re: Mixing/Producing
One more quick question- once you've recorded a song, and got the levels of each track as you'd like, is it simply a case of exporting it to a .wav or an mp3 file? Or is there any other steps in the process, or any techniques to get a better result at this stage? Basically yes - but you can Mix&...

Re: Best settings for audio cassettes.
when you plug in a USB deck then the USB device takes complete control over the sound input and sound level. You can't choose any alternative input from the drop-down box and you can't adjust the input (mic) slider - well not until you unplug the USB TT from your PC. This normally isn't a problem as...

Re: Copy soundclip - Time Shift Tool
Or you can just shift the seconfd track along the timeline in its own track - Audacity will mix it down on Export.
BTW do you realize that you have clipping (an over-saturated signal) in the top track "bomb" ?
