Re: export as mp3

If you are not using an iPod then Mp3 is probably the best choice for you - the minimum bitrate I would use is 192 for music (and I have old ears) - 128 for spoken word.

I'm puzzled though - why are you using iTunes and not using an iPod to go with it?

Re: STEREO LEVELS NOT RIGHT (DESPERATE)

Re: STEREO LEVELS NOT RIGHT (DESPERATE)

In which case it's extremely unlikely to be Audacity.

Most likely is plugs/leads/sockets. Unplug and replug (or gently wiggle plugs in sockets) - or the M-Audio box may be faulty.

Re: STEREO LEVELS NOT RIGHT (DESPERATE)

Are you seeing a stereo pair track when you record with Audacity - with one of them flat-lining?

Or are you seeing a single mono track?

Re: Track Separation

I'm new again to Audacity after initially using it several years ago and am using the 1.3.10 beta now ... Before you do anything else download the latest Beta 1.3.11 which was released last week. 1.3.10 has a bug which you will encounter when using the Export Multiple - it will round up each track ...
