Re: Tape2USB gaget
This is the ION device right? If as Koz says it is intended to transfer the signal to the computer. ION probably also include a cable so you can connect this deck to a hi-fi system or mini system (as they do with their ION turntables). See the page from the Wiki tha BillW has referred you to above. ...

Re: Any way to organize my effects list?
My understanding is that the developers are planning to bring back the tiered menus for effects at some stage in the future - but only when thay can make it an option to select the long list in preference to the tierd menu (presumably controlled from a preferences setting). The ability to bind effec...

Re: importing mp3
... I got a cd out , ript a song to mp3 and put it through the new 'audacity' and its perfect no clipping ... If you have the CD you will be much better to rip a WAV file to load into Audacity - the WAV will be uncompressed and lossless and you work on in Audacity and then export to MP3. If you rip...

Re: Downloading WAV files with artist and album title
WAV files do not normally carry such metada - unlinke Apple's compressed AAC format or MP3.
Which begs the question: why are you putting WAV files in your library for? They occupy around ten times or mor space that AAC or MP3 ?

Re: Mac Audacity Skinable?
It used to be - for a while in the earlier 1.3 betas there was an experimental feature for this - but it was removed by the developers as they could not get it work fully. There is some talk of bringing it back later. In the meatime you could try one of the earlier Betas - you will need to look thro...

Re: importing mp3
Are you sure it is clipping - the red clipping lines appear even iff the audio just touches the 0db line -without technically clipping.
Try using the Amplify effect with a little negative amplification - and then see if you still have clipping - or if the soung sounds clipped.
