Re: Blue Forum Header
As I never tire of pointing out, much of the documentation and links are for the elves, not the users. Yes, but personally I never use the links on the forum - I have a set of links in my browser favourites to enable me to access the Wiki and the manual. When I work on the forum I usually have the ...

Re: importing mp3
So in the end we are actually re-compressing data that came in as MP3 so the resultant file will have to suffer quality loss. I don't see any way around it. The problem arises because many of us are using MP3 as our standard storage file. Most downloads come that way. Yes indeed. But if all you are...

Re: all off the editing options are inaccessable
You need to select some or all of the audio in order for the exffects to be usable - otherwise there is nothing for them to work on. the keyboard shortcut CTRL+A will select all the audio for you. You will have been supplied with v1.2 of Audacity by ION - probably 1.2.6 or possibly even 1.2.4 - both...

Re: Blue Forum Header
IIRC we did this to death a while back - the compromise that we got back then was the somewhat muted pinkish/italicised non-obvious (IMHO) links in the header block. +1 on making the links to tips and tutorials a lot more prominent +1 on including links to manuals (1.2 and 1.3/2.0) However most folk...
