Re: imput volume

For a start you need to upgrade to 1.3.11 - there is a bug in 1.3.10 which will bite you (when exporting multiple it rounds up each song to the next 5-second boundary - so you get a snippet of the start of the next song at the end of each one).

Re: voice "far" in mp3 audio file

Re: Help Please! Choosing best Interface for Windows 7, Auda

For a nice pair of small studio speakers I would recommend trying to get a pair of LS3/5A speakers. The things I ordered (USB soundcard, phon pre-amp) over the phone arrived promptly, well-packed and in e...

Re: Compressing WAV files?

Ok Well, How do you connet the external hard drive in my truck? It doesn't have usb. This sounds interesting. It doesn't require so many cd's. My collection is big. Well personnaly I would be using a 160gB iPod Classic - in a truck you won't hear the difference between AAC 256 compression versus WA...

Re: so my pc got infected.....

See this page from the Wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Audacity_Preferences in Audacity 1.3 a set of preferences is stored per user in an audacity.cfg - the complication arises in that if you have ever had 1.2 installed then the preferences from there are stored in the Windows Registry - and...

Re: vinyl recording

Oops yes - missed that bit Bill  What Bill means is that you need some pre-amplification to get the signal to the right level and to get the RIAA equalization applied. It is possible that your turntable is switchable to do this - if it offers line-level output in addition to phono - then switc...
