Re: Ouvrir un fichier .aup /How can I open an .aup file?
Hi Eve, the best way is to get them to send you a WAV file - which you can then Open in Audacity or Import into and Audacity project. Otherwise the sender will need to send you the project-named folder with all the little .au sound-clip files in it. This is the harder waya s Audacity projects can be...

Re: Ouvrir un fichier .aup /How can I open an .aup file?
When you save an Audacity project as <project_name> it creates a number of things 1. a top level master project file called <project_name>.aup 2. a folder at the same filing level called <project_name>_data 3. and within the folder a sub-folder structure with lots of little .au files - segments of t...

Re: Corrrect processing order for 78s recorded at 45
... I like to leave a little surface noise in my transfers (they are 78s after all!). ... You're just like my son. When I made transciptions of the 45s that had lived on my jukebox for years (and had a very hard life there) I cleaned them all up nicely. He complained "that's not the way they'r...

Re: Cutting waveform and shifting markers
No, it is a bug. 1.3.9 and all earlier versions of 1.3 used to have the behaviour you have come to expect - as does 1.2.6. It has come about because of a new feature the developers have bee working on called Linking - they can't make it work properly so they have temporarily removed it. Unfortunatel...

Re: Using GraceTape2USB

Since your USB Tapedeck doesn't have a set of speakers, you then don't get any sound from the computer (not even the normal computer sounds). All you need to do i...

Re: Corrrect processing order for 78s recorded at 45
Many thanks for the feedback bobv and whomper: yes Icertainly when I record my vinyl I do capture, then click removal is my very first processing step (I use Brian Davies' ClickRepair tool). And I do amplitude adjustment as my very last step prior to export. For stereo vinyl I use the Amplify effect...
