Re: New forum logo
The proposals page I gave you the link for is "the admins" - these sections of the Wiki are where the developers and QA folk hang out (but note that there are not an awful lot of them - this is a lean project). You can create yourself a Wiki account - it is an open Wiki - but it is moderat...

Re: New Vinyl Getting Skips
Stevethefiddle (a regular contributor to the forum) successfully uses a UCA202 to record - so we know they work well with Audacity. It could be a bad USB connection - you can't try a different USB lead as I believe that one end is hard-wired into the UCA202 - can you give the USB plug a gentle wiggl...

Re: Seperating tracks while transferring from source to PC
I do it while I am recording my LPs by placing a label at the required point. You can either click CTRL+M to place a label at the curretnt recording/playing position - but I prefer to place my cursor at the required position and then type CTRL+B to place a label there. I usually place them 0.5 secon...

Re: Deleting files; Record level meters
OK: I now know that: 1. All files must be exported as 32-bit WAV recordings Yes - during the capture/editing process - BUT if you want to create WAVs that can be used to burn a CD you will need to Export as 16-bit PCM WAVs (Aidacity will do the necessary downsampling and dithering for you). I have ...

Re: New Vinyl Getting Skips
The signal is going from the tt to the pre-amp to the sound card to the lap top. I've got stereo in my headphones but not Audacity. Maybe be I have to configure the pre-amp in control panel? It - the pre-amp - is not showing up in devices. This "sound card" is it a USB external soundcard?...

Re: lining up track labels
Yes I agree Dave - I have been using the 1.3.12. RC2 alpha build for a couple of weeks now for my LP transcriptions and I too find the new mechanism much easier to work with. The other very useful thing that's come back in 1.3.12 (went "missing" in 1.3.10 and 1.3.11) is the ability to sele...
