Re: Pre-Equalization Curve

My trusty old QUAD-33 pre-amp/control unit does have some basic equalization: bass, treble and a slope control with filter slope control push bottons for 5k 7k and 10k. BUT most importantly it also has a Cancel pushbutton which completely by-passes the equalization stage in the device so that only p...

Re: Tacks add when I playback

Audacity is a multi-track editor. When you Stop recording and the Record again it will start a new track - it is meant to do that - it is designed that way so you can lay down say, a drum track, a guitar track and then a vocal track and mix them. In 1.2 you can get it record after the current record...

Re: Timer recording does not want to stop !

So can you download again Peter and work with that version? Apart from the patch, it is still built against 2.8.11. ok - the two timed recordings that I did last night with Nikolay's patch worked absolutely fine. Both were one hour five minute recordings one of which straddled midnight. Both were m...

Re: Timer recording does not want to stop !

Instead of the parameters being start time and end time, it could be start time and duration... Bruno, you can already do that - in the setup dialog box for Timer Record there are three input boxes: 1) Start Date and Time 2) End Date and Time 3) Duration Setting the duration in box 3 will change th...

Ok Gale - just downloaded it - did a quick test 1min delay 1min recording and it worked ok. I have two timed recordings to make this evening so I will use this new build for those. Oo...

Re: six pages of spam - cant find real messages

+1. I'm strongly against controlling spam by restricting posts by new users (I even know some forums where you have to wait several days after registering before you are allowed to post). Having to moderate all new posts will be frustrating for users and won't ease the workload for moderators. The ...

Re: Name change

The problem is that 1.2 is actually not stable on many modern platforms - it doesn't even work at all on some modern platforms. It's now over two years since the last 1.2 was released - and it still has bugs, none of which will ever be fixed. 1.3.12 is actually a pretty workable release - yes it doe...

Re: MP3

iTunes from Apple (if you want an alternative media player/manager to Windows Media Player) An excellent suggestion - you can import yourt WAV files into iTunes and use iTunes to convert them to MP3 (or even Apple's comressed format AAC). And iTunes is a better jukebox than WMP IMHO. See this tutor...
