BTW - I am assuming that I won't need to follow the normal workflow for this particular thread. I don't think it requires transferring to the Wiki Feature Requests. But once it becomes "quiet" for the statutory month I will transfer it to the Audio Processing section of the forum.

Re: Input Overload, Slider not available
...why the Input Slider is greyed out and unusable. Because Audacity has handed over control to your USB device and its soundcard. Whether Audacity does this not is entirely dependent on the USB device's soundcard and its associated drivers. Some, but by no means all, of thes USB devices have a har...

Re: iTunes losing tracks
Oh and if iTunes has "lost" those audio files, as marked with the exclamantion point - if you still hace the audio file stored somewhere else provided you put it back to where iTunes "thinks it is" the iTunes will see it again. You can see where iTunes is storing or referencing a...

Re: iTunes losing tracks
So when I save something to itunes library where is it actually stored? And more to the point, how can I stop losing the tracks? It depends on how you have your iTunes settings - iTunes can either refence a set of audio files external to itself and just manage links to those. Or it can copy the aud...

Re: Poor sound quality from tape.
Start off with a read of this tutorial: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Transferring_tapes_and_records_to_computer_or_CD And by the way you would be better off using the latest Beta 1.3.12 - 1.2 is ancient now - and in spite of its Beta labelling 1.3 is now usually more stable on most modern platf...

Re: Changing end/beginning points of a clip
Assuming that I've understood the posted question correctly - and thay may not be the case of course ... :? I should have stated that to do this in 1.3 you need to create a label track and label the selected range - a blank label will do - then you can extend, move or shorten the label by clicking a...
